UPSC EO, AO and APFC Exam 2023: Commission offers alternate Centres to Manipur candidates – Times of India
After experiencing weeks of ongoing ethnic conflict, Manipur encountered a sudden escalation in clashes and gunfire between militants and security forces on Sunday, following a period of relative calm that lasted for more than two weeks.
“For the prevalent situation in the State of Manipur, the Commission has decided to offer following alternate Centres to the candidates of the Imphal (Manipur) Centre of the Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner Examination, 2023, which is to be held on 02nd July, 2023,” reads the official notification.
The candidates will be offered alternate centres in Aizawl (Mizoram), Kohima (Nagaland), Shillong (Meghalaya), Dispur (Assam), Jorhat (Assam), Kolkata (West Bengal), and Delhi, it said.
The exam centre change option will be available to the candidates of Imphal centre via the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) facility, the statement said.
The Commission will send a message to each candidate regarding this matter on their registered mobile number. Candidates are required to use their registered mobile number to utilise this service through IVRS.
Alternatively, candidates can contact the UPSC through the following telephone numbers: 011-23070641, 23381073, 23384508, and 23387876. The phone lines will be open from 12 Noon on June 2 until 5 PM on June 12, 2023.
Furthermore, eligible candidates will have the option to change their examination centers. This option will be available on the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) website from 12 Noon on June 2 to 5 PM on June 12, 2023. The website will provide round-the-clock access, allowing candidates to make the necessary changes.
Once the Commission receives center change preferences through any of the mentioned methods, candidates will be assigned to their chosen centers, and subsequently, their e-admit cards will be released.
Each candidate will receive a confirmation message regarding the change of centers on their registered mobile number. The e-admit cards can be downloaded from the UPSC official website.
