Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
UPPSC PCS 2023: Exam Pattern
UPPSC PCS exam consists of three stages:
Preliminary Exam: It is an objective type exam that consists of two papers – General Studies I and General Studies II (also known as CSAT). The total marks for the preliminary exam are 400.
Main Exam: It consists of a written exam and an interview. The written exam consists of nine papers, out of which seven are compulsory, and two are optional. The total marks for the main exam are 1500.
Interview: The final stage of the exam is an interview. The interview carries a weightage of 100 marks.
Candidates who qualify for the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the main exam. Candidates who qualify for the main exam are then called for an interview.
