Upcoming Hindi Web series to watch in July 2023: Adhura, The Trial, College Romance and more

After a joyful June, where we were all packed with a number of thrillers starting from School of Lies to The Night Manager – Part 2, this month we have a mixed bag of web series from genres all across. Starting from the rom-com Ishq Next Door to the spine-thrilling series Kohrra, here are some of the intriguing shows worth checking out.  

Ishq Next Door is a romantic comedy written by Shaharyar Farooqui and Akhilesh Vats, and helmed by director Akhilesh Vats. The web series is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Rusk Studios. Starring Natasha Bhardwaj, Abhay Mahajan, Mrinal Dutt, and YouTube sensation Purav Jha, the show revolves around the life of Dev, who leads a simple yet fulfilling life, shouldering the responsibilities of his mother and rebellious younger brother. Everything changes when he encounters Meher, a spirited and vibrant young woman living right next door.

Adhura

Adhura is a spine-chilling horror series, produced by Nikhil Advani and directed by Ananya Banerjee and Gauravv K Chawla. It features Ishwak Singh, Rasika Dugal, Shrenik Arora, Rahul Dev, Poojan Chhabra, Rijul Ray, Zoa Morani, Sahil Salathia, and Aru Krishansh Verma. Taking place in both 2022 and 2007, this chilling horror series centres around a prestigious boarding school nestled in Ooty. Within its walls lies a sinister secret, so profound that it threatens to unravel the lives of all those intertwined with it.

The Magic Of Shiri

The Magic Of Shiri is a magical thriller drama, produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Tanveer Bookwala. The series is directed by Birsa Dasgupta and stars actress Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya in the titular role with Jaaved Jaaferi, among others.

This gripping thriller drama revolves around the mesmerising world of magicians and illusions. At its core is the unwavering determination of a woman striving to become the most prominent magician, even as she faces relentless opposition from hostile forces. Amidst her quest for greatness, she must also navigate the intricate complexities of her personal life, delicately balancing her dreams with the challenges and ambitions that come her way.

The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha

Starring Kajol in her OTT debut, The Trial is a gritty courtroom drama which is directed by Suparn S Varma. It also features Jisshu Sengupta, Sheeba Chaddha, Aamir Ali, Alyy Khan, Kubbra Sait, Gaurav Pandey and Vijay Vikram Singh among others. Adapted from the American series The Good Wife, The Trial follows the life of Noyonika, a housewife who starts practising law again when her husband’s public scandal puts him in prison.

College Romance Season 4

The beloved dramedy series, College Romance, makes its highly-anticipated return with its ultimate season. Crafted by TVF and brought to life under the production of Arunabh Kumar, the final season is skillfully directed by Ashutosh Pankaj.

The cast includes Gagan Arora, Apoorva Arora, Keshav Sadhna, Shreya Mehta, Nupur Nagpal, Jahnvi Rawat, and Eklavey Kashyap in the lead roles. Delving into the lives of seven close-knit friends, the show revolves around their intricate journeys during their last years of college, as they face the challenges of preparing for life beyond the campus.

Kohrra



Set in the vibrant backdrop of Punjab, Kohrra is a gripping police procedural that begins with the unsettling revelation of a murdered NRI just days before his wedding. As the investigation unfolds, a tangled web of deceit, concealed truths, and the intricate dynamics of dysfunctional families gradually emerge. With a stellar ensemble cast featuring Suvinder Vicky, Barun Sobti, Varun Badola, Harleen Sethi, Rachel Shelly, and Manish Chaudhary, the series delves into the dark underbelly of crime while exploring the complexities of human relationships.
