Prime Minister Narendra Modi will stay put in the city for two days. He will hold a roadshow on Friday afternoon and rallies on Saturday. Home Minister Amit Shah too is stationed in Varanasi, micromanaging the party campaign and working on feedback from party workers. Other prominent party leaders include, BJP national president JP Nadda and Union minister Anurag Thakur
CT Ravi and BJP Mahila Morcha president Vanathi Srinivasan are in the city to meet south Indian voters.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee also arrived in Varanasi on Wednesday, and will stay along with Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav till Friday. On Thursday, the leaders addressed two rallies and will jointly do a roadshow on Friday covering different parts of the city. SP’s alliance partners Jayant Chaudhary, Om Prakash Rajbhar all are in Varanasi.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Varanasi on Friday, and after a Darshan at Kashi Vishwanath temple, will address a public meeting at Pindra. UP Congress in-charge, Priyanka Gandhi was in Varanasi on Wednesday and held two public meetings in Sonbhadra and Chandauli. Rahul and Priyanka are expected to do a roadshow on Friday.
