NEW DELHI: The Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh on Monday released the Board examination timetable for classes 10th and 12th on the official website.
As per the schedule, the UP Board Inter and High School examination will begin on February 16, 2023. The examination will be held at 8,752 centres across 75 districts in the state. The Class 10 examinations will be held in 13 working days and will end on March 3 while the Class 12 examinations will be held in 14 working days and will end on March 4.
The first paper for Class 10 will be on Hindi/Elementary Hindi while Class 12 students will have Hindi/Elementary Hindi/Military Sciences.
Over 58 lakh candidates have registered for the UP Board 2023 examinations. While 31.2 lakh is for Class 10, 27.5 lakh are for Class 12.
For the first time, UP Board examinees will get stitched answer sheets. The move is aimed at preventing the copying mafia from changing answer sheets of meritorious students because in previous years there were complaints of changing copies by removing staples.
The initiatives are being taken with the aim to eliminate the scope of manipulation of answer sheets. The Board will also conduct random checks of some answer sheets using the barcodes which will further put a noose around those involved in copying.
Over 3 crore answer sheets will be required for the UP Board examinations. Model exam questions for Class 10 and Class 12 final exams have been released by UPMSP, and are available for download at upmsp.edu.
