Unhappy Bake Off viewers refuse to watch the grand final

Three very talented bakers are battling to be crowned the 2021 champion of The Great British Bake Off 2021.

After 10 weeks Chigs, Crystelle and Giuseppe go head-to-head in the famous tent for the chance to get their hands on the coveted plate on the Channel Four show.

They’re judged by Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, with comedians Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas providing light relief in the tense kitchen.

But some viewers are refusing to watch the grand final after last week’s outcome.

Last week’s semi-final saw series favourite Jurgen Krauss crash out in a shock exit during patisserie week leaving many viewers fuming.

And some are refusing to forget.

Fans took to Twitter to say that they couldn’t watch without Jurgen in the final line-up.

@doctorkevinmoo1 said: “I know I should just let it go… but IMO JURGEN WAS THE BEST!”

@davidhonor tweeted: “Won’t be watching after Jurgen got screwed over last week so good luck finalists! #BakeOff.”

@gemilouisexo huffed: “Well I for one won’t be watching #bakeoff tonight. I’m on strike after Jurgen was voted out, I’m still not over it.”

@TomElwin said drolly: “Missed the Bake Off last week, but reckon Jurgen will win the final this week. #surefirebet #bakeoff”

And @snp12345678910 wrote: “I’m here, but not happy about not seeing Jürgen here.”

Jurgen fans were heartbroken for him when during the semi-final, f or the first time in the show’s history, Paul dished out the most handshakes ever given in one challenge.

Chigs, Chrystelle and Giuseppe all received the coveted ‘Hollywood handshake’ for their layered slices in the first challenge – but Jurgen missed out.

Many felt the writing was on the wall for Jurgen to leave following the crushing moment early in the show.

And after he was chosen to leave the tent, angry Bake Off viewers took to social media to voice their outrage.

Fans are now calling for Jurgen and Giuseppe to reunited for their own show

Dr Kevin Moore asked: “Spin off series baking around Europe?! #GBBO #bakeoff #GBBOFinal #Jurgen #Guiseppe.”

And @ShanghaiHannah said: “Feel like they’re setting up for a Crystelle win, but I’d love Giuseppe to take it.

“Or actually… Maybe not because then Giuseppe wouldn’t have contractual obligations and could be free make the Euro road trip program with Jurgen we all want.”
