Uncharted movie trailer: Tom Holland first look replicates PS3 Drake’s Deception scene
Last year the first glimpse of the Uncharted movie was revealed with a still image of Holland as Nathan Drake. The image didn’t show much, other than the hero’s fashion sense. Fans of the PlayStation franchise can now rejoice as the first trailer of Uncharted has now been released.

The trailer shows Nathan as a young treasure hunter who is – for some reason – a bartender.
At one of his bartending gigs, he seems to meet Sully (played by Mark Wahlberg).
After hitting it off over treasure and hidden ruins, the pair get involved in the unfinished mystery of Nathan’s missing, long-lost brother.
The trailer certainly includes some action-packed scenes, but most notably includes a scene from one of the franchise’s most exciting video games.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception was released in 2011 for the PlayStation 3.
During the game sequence, Nathan was launched out of a flying cargo plane, prompting him to do anything he could to return to safety.
This sequence has seemingly been replicated in the film and is being teased as one of the film’s biggest set-piece events.
The synopsis for Uncharted calls Nathan “street-smart” before noting that this is the character’s “first treasure hunting adventure”.
Holland said earlier this year: “As soon as you start worrying about ‘do I look good in this shot?’ acting becomes something other than playing a character. I think there are elements of my performance in Uncharted where I kind of fell under that spell of being ‘I want to look good now. I want this to be my cool moment.’
“I had to play this very tough, very stoic guy – basically, be Mark Wahlberg.”
He added: “My character is supposed to be a f*****g action hero in this moment!
“Look, I haven’t seen it, so I don’t know if I succeeded in that. But it was an important lesson learned, because, at times, it was less about land a mark and go through this scene and more about land a mark, stand like this and see my bulging biceps.” (Via GQ)
Holland added: “It was a mistake and is something that I will probably never do again.”
There have been nine Uncharted games released to date, with another collection on the way.
The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is due out next year.
Uncharted hits cinemas on February 11, 2022.
