UFC legend’s son gets brutally KO‘ed
He may be the son of one of the greatest the UFC has ever seen but Anderson Silva’s son Gabriel will have to head back to the drawing board.
Kids want to be able to fail on their way to the top, but when you’re the son of a sporting legend and following in his footsteps, you aren’t afforded the luxury.
This is the lesson that UFC legend Anderson Silva’s son Gabriel learned the hard way.

Anderson Silva holds the record for the longest title reign when he held the middleweight title between 2006 and 2013.
And at 46, the Brazilian martial artist is still making headlines and is still fighting, having knocked out former UFC star Tito Ortiz in the first round of an exhibition boxing clash between the two former champions in September.
Unfortunately his success casts a spotlight on his children as they chase their own success in MMA.
His sons Kalyl and Gabriel are trying to build their own successful amateur careers and both featured on the FightersRep 11 card.
Kalyl backed up his debut fight result — an eight-second knockout of Anthony Reynaga in August, which he finished with his first strike of the fight, a head-kick — with a unanimous decision against Melo Pamuk in a fight the commentator said “that was one of the best fights we’ve seen”.
But Gabriel had a much different experience, knocked out in the first round of his clash with Vincent Familari for the IKF light middleweight title.
Familari unloaded a barrage of punches and with 17 seconds left in the first round, Gabriel folded back over the ropes before falling heavily on the canvas.
It took a few moments for Gabriel to get back to his feet but he was standing when the result was officially announced.
It was a result the commentators said “shocked the world”.
Familari said that he had to keep pressing or Gabriel would have turned the tables.
“I knew that I had to stay on him, I couldn’t let him recover,” Familari said in his post-fight interview. “I mean, the guy’s good. He could easily beat me, but God was with us on this victory, He blessed us. Much respect to my opponent, his camp and everybody else, but we did it. We pulled through.”
The loss was Gabriel’s first as he moves to 5-1 in his career.
