Tyson Fury offers X-rated reaction to Anthony Joshua loss with message for Oleksandr Usyk
Tyson Fury has offered an expletive-ridden reaction to Oleksandr Usyk beating Anthony Joshua for the second time. The unbeaten Ukrainian defended his unified WBO, WBA and IBF world heavyweight titles by winning a brilliant 12-rounder via split decision in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night. But Fury labelled both fighters “s***e” in a video posted to his Instagram story as he watched the scrap surrounded by friends and family.
Though Joshua was much improved from the first fight for the ‘Rage on the Red Sea’, Usyk was still the superior boxer throughout and the deserving winner despite one judge scoring it in the Briton’s favour. It is hoped Usyk’s back-to-back wins over Joshua will now set the scene for a thrilling showdown with Fury, who has once more reversed his decision to retire from the sport.
And the Gypsy King was quick to react to Joshua’s defeat and Usyk’s victory as he posted on his Instagram shortly after the split decision was announced. He said in a video: “I’ll be honest with you guys, after watching that, the both of them were s***e. It was one of the worst heavyweight title fights I’ve ever seen.”
Fury indicated his willingness to share a ring with Usyk should the purse be suitable. He added: “It was bulls***! I would annihilate both of them on the same night. F***ing s***e. Get your f***ing chequebook out cause the Gypsy King is here to stay forever!”
After his victory, Usyk had called out Fury – the WBC title holder – in an effort to put together an undisputed fight. No man has held every major heavyweight title in boxing since Lennox Lewis back in 2000.

Usyk said in the ring shortly after a bizarre impromptu speech from Joshua: “I’m sure that Fury is not retired yet. I’m convinced he wants to fight me. I want to fight him, if I’m not fighting Fury, I’m not fighting at all. Only God knows if I will be undisputed or not.”
Fury had claimed after his sixth-round technical knockout of Dillian Whyte at Wembley in April that he would retire from boxing but he then announced his return on August 12. He has been publicly angling for a third fight with countryman Derek Chisora having won their previous two bouts in 2011 and 2014.
Meanwhile, the shine from Usyk’s second consecutive win over Joshua was somewhat taken away from him post-fight by AJ’s unusual reaction as he angrily stormed out of the ring before returning and throwing two of the title belts out. After a chat with Usyk in which Joshua was visibly overcome with emotion, he grabbed the microphone and said: “Usyk’s one hell of a f***ing fighter, give him a round of applause.
“Oh my, that’s just emotion. If you knew my story then you’d understand the passion. I ain’t no f***ing amateur boxer from five years old that was an elite prospect from a youth bro. I was going to jail in Reading jail. I got bail and I started training my a*** off cause if I got sentenced I wanted to be able to fight. I bust my case.

“G14 where’s your hand? I’m stealing this Usyk I’m sorry but it’s the f***ing passion we put into this. I’m telling you for this guy to beat me tonight, maybe I could have done better but it shows the levels of hard work he must have put in.
“So, please give him a round of applause as our heavyweight champion of the world. I’m not a twelve-round fighter, look at me. I’m the new breed of heavyweights, all those heavyweights, Mike Tyson, Sonny Liston, Jack Dempsey, because I ain’t 14 stone that’s why. I’m 18 stone, I’m heavy it’s hard work.
“This guy here is a phenomenal talent, we’re gonna cheer for him three times. How many belts you got now bro? five? And as I was saying, I was studying Ukraine and all the champions that come from your amazing country bro.
“I’ve never been there but at the same time what’s happening there is… I don’t know what’s happening there but it’s not nice. Usyk please raise your hand, under those circumstances you became a champion.” Two-weight world champion Usyk is now 20-0 while Joshua slips to 24-3. Fury is 32-0-1.
