Two people injured after fire breaks out at Rusholme bar
Two people have been injured after a fire broke out at a Rusholme bar on Friday night. Firefighters were called to a venue on Wilmslow Road at about 10pm.
Two people were treated at the scene by firefighters. Crews from Gorton, Moss Side and Withington remain at the bar, although the fire has now been extinguished.

Pictures from the scene show a cordon in place outside the venue with a large crowd stood around. A woman can be seen sat on the pavement, wrapped in blanket, apparently being treated by a firefighter.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said:“ Just before 10pm this evening (Friday 27th May), three fire engines from Gorton, Moss Side and Withington were called to reports of a building fire involving a bar on Wilmslow Road, Rusholme. Crews quickly arrived at the scene.
“Firefighters using four breathing apparatuses and two hose reels worked to extinguish the fire. Two people were treated at the scene by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
“Firefighters are still in attendance and have been at the scene for around one hour.”
GMFRS has not named the venue.
