This house is going up for auction for just £10,000 – but you’ll have to shift through mountains of rubbish and filth before moving in.

The two-bedroom terraced home on Raby Square in Hartlepool is a perfect DIY project for prospective buyers who don’t mind putting some graft in to make the place theirs.

The house comes complete with: a pile of dirt, two broken TVs, various planks of wood, some empty plant pots, and a white door which has been taken off its hinges and lying against a wall.

To top it off, there’s a supermarket trolley in the living room.

The house needs some structural work too; parts of the ceiling have collapsed, and there’s black mould crawling up the walls, which is tricky to get rid of.

One of the bedrooms is filled to the brim with bags of rubbish and soiled fabric, as well as an aluminium pipe and the window is covered by a dirty rag.

There is also an extensive collection of branches.

Despite the grime, the property is being auctioned off through McHugh&Co auction house.

It could be an ideal investment for first-time buyers who are willing to take on a project to get a house for much cheaper than the average price.

It’s advertised as a ‘double Fronted Terrace House requiring complete modernisation’, which is one way to put it.

The home is near to Hartlepool Train Station, which has direct links to the cities of Sunderland, Durham and Newcastle. It’s just a ten-minute drive from the marina, too.

The house goes up for auction on May 23, with a guide price of just £10,000.
