Twitter rolling out Picture-in-Picture support on iOS – Times of India
How does PiP mode work?
PiP mode shrinks a video player into a floating window and usually places it in a corner so that it does not affect the scrolling experience. “Note that it’s rolling out slowly, so it’s normal if some of you don’t have it yet,” the tweet reads.
Until now, Twitter featured an in-app picture-in-picture mode, but the new feature will allow users to view Twitter videos while using other apps on iOS devices, similar to how YouTube and other video content apps work on iPhones and iPads.
Notably, not all Twitter users running iOS have access to the picture-in-picture feature, yet, which means Twitter is still working on rolling out support. While the feature is said to be rolled out in a phased manner, it suggested installing the latest version of the Twitter app on iPhone or iPad.
Twitter increases tweet limit to 25,000 for paid users
Meanwhile, Twitter has added two new features to its long-form content for Twitter Blue users. The microblogging platform announced that Twitter Blue users will be able to write more. Earlier, Twitter Blue subscribers were allowed to write up to 10,000 characters in long-form content, which has now been increased to 25,000 characters. Along with this, the platform is also giving the ability to add up to four images in the write-up.
Twitter revealed the two features via a tweet. “Two new features for writers: you can now post up to 25,000 characters and add up to 4 inline images. Subscribe to access these new features,” tweeted Twitter Write.
