Twitter reacts to Freddie Freeman’s go-ahead home run to lead Braves over Brewers in NLDS
After Tuesday night, Freddie Freeman has five postseason home runs to his credit. But it was his fifth, and most recent, that also was one of the biggest.
With the Braves tied 4-4 against the Brewers in the bottom of the eighth inning in Game 4 of the NLDS, Freeman hit a solo home run to put Atlanta up 5-4, eventually leading to the 3-1 series win to send the team to the NLCS for the second year in a row.

Freeman hit the home run off Josh Hader, the Brewers’ three-time All-Star closer and perhaps the most dominant lefty bullpen arm in the game. This year, Hader went 34 of 35 in save opportunities, with a 1.23 ERA and 102 strikeouts in 58.2 innings pitched to earn his third All-Star nod.
It wasn’t just that Freeman’s home run meant a lot for Atlanta, though. In the pantheon of the 2021 MLB season, it was also fairly historic:

On a Rodolfo Castro HR in Pittsburgh.
What a stunner.

It gets better for Freeman, who has actually owned Hader, relatively speaking.
Only one LH hitter in baseball has hit 2 home runs off Josh Hader.

Thanks to Freeman, the reigning NL MVP, the Braves will now take on the winner of the Giants-Dodgers series in the NLCS. The Braves met the Dodgers in the NLCS last season, taking a 3-1 lead before losing in seven games.

Here are some of the best reactions to Freeman’s game-winning home run:
I should point out that the man who ended the Brewers’ season & sent the Braves to the NLCS was also Henry Aaron’s favorite player at the time of his death. Freddie Freeman was also the last recipient of the NL Hank Aaron Award for the league’s best hitter pic.twitter.com/TMMIG8GD2M
