Twitter may actually become accurate, relevant news source: Elon Musk
He earlier termed the media as “click-seeking machine dressed up as a truth-seeking machine”.
Musk, who is now in a legal battle with Twitter after terminating the $44 billion takeover deal, said in a fresh tweet: “It sure is hard to find a news source that’s accurate, relevant and not totally depressing!”
“Old-school versions of The Economist and Jon Stewart Daily Show/Colbert Report were great,” he added.
He further tweeted: “Maybe Twitter can become that (source)”.
A follower reacted: “In fact, this is everyone’s hope, but Twitter has been making bots”.

Musk last month slammed a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report that allegedly exposed his alleged affair with Google cofounder Sergey Brin’s wife Nicole Shanahan, which the Tesla CEO has vehemently denied.
The WSJ report had claimed that “Musk engaged in a brief affair last fall with the wife of Sergey Brin, prompting the Google Co-founder to file for divorce earlier this year and ending the tech billionaires’ long friendship”.
Musk later hit out at the newspaper for linking him with Shanahan, saying she should sue WSJ for falsely reporting that she had a brief affair with him last December while separated from Brin.
The Tesla CEO also said that character assassination attacks had reached a new level this year, but “the articles are all nothing-burgers”.
He has expressed his displeasure with the unwanted media attention he is getting these days, calling it “super sucks”.
The world’s richest man also said that “interaction with almost all Twitter accounts seems to be much lower lately”.
He has filed a countersuit against Twitter as part of an ongoing legal dispute that will start from October 17 for five days.
