TUI cancels more flights and holidays into October including Spain, Turkey and the US

TUI has been forced to cancel further flights and holidays due to “uncertainty” over international travel restrictions. Though the travel provider has ramped up capacity in recent weeks, some holidays to favourite destinations are now no longer going ahead.

Among the travel plans now axed are destinations in Spain, Turkey, the US, Mexico and Egypt.

TUI assures customers that if their holiday has been cancelled by the airline, they will be contacted to discuss their options.

On its website, the holiday provider explains that travel won’t go ahead if the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advises against non-essential travel abroad or if the government for a destination enforce a quarantine on arrival and there isn’t the option to forgo this quarantine period by providing evidence of a negative COVID-19 test or of being fully vaccinated.

TUI will also cancel holidays in the event the international borders close to UK travellers or a destination is on the red list.

Alternatively, they can change their holiday to an alternative date or destination along with a booking incentive.

Cancellations span August through to October 31, 2021.

Below are the latest cancellations, although TUI notes that the list provided “does not cover all our holiday programme changes.”

If sudden cancellations do occur for any other destinations, the travel provider will contact impacted customers directly.
