TUI announces more flight cancellations until mid-November – full list

TUI has updated its latest flight cancellations ahead of the October half-term.

The tour operator has been forced to suspend a number of holidays in recent weeks due to natural disasters and travel bans.

Its latest update has cancelled more holidays to La Palma due to the volcano, which has continued to cause chaos since it first erupted on September 19.

Its update this morning states: “Due to the ongoing situation we’ve unfortunately had to cancel all flights to La Palma departing up to and including 17 November 2021. All impacted customers will be contacted directly to discuss their options.

“The next scheduled flight to La Palma is 18 November 2021.”

The airline was also forced to cancel flights to Morroco this week due to the last-minute travel ban on all UK arrivals.

Here is the full list of holidays that have been cancelled by TUI in recent weeks.

  • Austria
  • Italy and Slovenia (TUI Lakes and Mountains)
  • Bulgaria (Varna and Bourgas)
  • Costa Rica
  • Florida
  • Italy (Calabria, Sardinia and Sicily)
  • Mainland Spain (Almeria and Girona)
  • Malta
  • Montenegro
  • Morocco (Marrakech and Agadir)
  • Thailand
  • Tunisia

Holidays cancelled until November 17

TUI restarted most of its holidays this month, including to Turkey, Jamaica and Cancun last week.

Egypt’s Hurghada and Sharm el Skeikh also resumed this week.

The airline is still operating to a number of green list destinations which includes most of Croatia and Madeira, as well as holidays with non-TUI flights such as Malta, Iceland, Gibraltar and Barbados.

There are just seven countries left on the red list, and more travel restrictions are being lifted from next week, including the replacement of the day two PCR test with a day two lateral flow test.
