Tube station murder victim named but police still don’t know how he was killed

The victim of a murder in Hounslow has been named – but police are still trying to establish how he was killed. The man was 36-year-old Eovinas Lukosevitius, a Polish national who lived in Hounslow. Officers were called out on Saturday March 12 at 3.36am to Hounslow West Underground Station in Cavendish Parade.

The victim was collapsed on the floor. London Ambulance Service attempted to resuscitate him but were unable to save his life and he was pronounced dead at 4:27am. A post-mortem was held on March 13 but was inconclusive and police are still trying to work out how he died.

Detectives believe Eovinas was involved in an altercation with another man approximately an hour before his death. A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder but has since been bailed until April.

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Shirley, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Despite an arrest being made we still need to hear from any members of the public who have information about what happened to Eovinas.

“We believe he was in the Hounslow area in the hours leading up to his death and I would ask anyone who saw any suspicious activity to come forward to the police.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 1027/12Mar.
