Traveller avoids extra luggage costs on Ryanair – with ‘perfect’ carry-on bag
A PASSENGER has revealed the “perfect” bag to use when flying with Ryanair to avoid having to pay for extra luggage.
Strict carry-on rules mean people can’t always take what they want on holiday with them, but there are some bags that can make it easier.
Tiktoker Callum Ryan (@theonecal) bought a bag for £6.99 from Decathlon, which has been described as the “perfect” hand luggage bag by other customers.
The bag he bought was the Kipsta 20L sports bag which has received great reviews for how much luggage it can handle.
In a video, Callum revealed how impressed he was with the holdall, which he filled with everything he needed for his trip.
He said: “I bought the Tiktok viral hand luggage bag to test to see if it actually works, so that you don’t have to waste your time.
“For only £6.99 from Decathlon, this bag is apparently the exact dimensions for Ryanair hand luggage. And I actually can’t believe how much I could fit inside.
“I even got in an extra pair of shoes, sunglasses, toiletries and my laptop.”
Having filled the bag and taken it through airport security, Callum then had to make sure it was the right size for the Ryanair carry-on restrictions.
While putting it in the size checker, he said: “Now it’s time for the important part. Does it fit? And yes, it does.
“It’s honestly the perfect bag for a few days away, so I highly recommend grabbing it whilst you can.”
The bag is available for £6.99 on Decathlon, and is described as “a great choice for a compact gym bag or lightweight cabin bag”.
It comes with two compartments, including one main pocket and a side pocket.
The Kipsta bag also folds down into its own side pocket, making it much easier to store.
From more than 900 reviews, the bag has an overall rating of 4.7/5, with more than 860 people rating it four or five stars.
One wrote: “My daughter and I were flying to Spain with Ryanair, and we wanted to take hand luggage with us.
“These bags are the exact size permitted by Ryanair and the other budget airlines, and this coupled with the separate compartment for liquids etc makes it perfect.”
Another said: “Bought these as hand luggage for Ryanair. The size is deceptive and they hold far more than you’d expect. Great holdall at a brilliant price.”
A third added: “I bought such bags for the whole family because we travel a lot and this is the most practical bag. It looks small but holds so much.”
Meanwhile, this is how much luggage you can take on board a Ryanair flight.
And this 20p trick can help you avoid having to pay extra for your luggage.
