He has been facing flak on Twitter for his decision to make the Twitter blue tick chargeable ever science he announced he would price it at $20/month.
Since completing his acquisition of Twitter last month, Musk has made some sweeping changes to the organisation at Twitter.
The latest is the mass firings that started on Friday – a fear that turned into reality for scores of Twitter employees. Musk fired people across departments in different countries, including India, where about 180 were sacked.

Earlier, he had fired the then-CEO Parag Agrawal, Vijaya Gadde, the head of legal and policy, and CFO Ned Segal, among other top-ranking executives.
The Tesla CEO has also appointed new people to help him with revamping Twitter. Jason Calacanis, American entrepreneur, podcaster, and one of the people chosen by Musk, tweeted some days back asking if people would be willing to pay for the Twitter Blue subscription, to keep their blue ticks. This received a response from Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky, it should be free for people to get verified.
Musk and Twitter are
facing a class action suite for firing people across its offices. Twitter started firing people, including in offices across India, on Friday.
