Tottenham v Crystal Palace: Preview and predicted line-up

Both Palace and Spurs started April with new managers, but those changes have had contrasting results.

Hodgson has won four, drawn two and lost just once, while a combination of Christian Stellini and Ryan Mason have just a win, three losses and two draws in the same number of games.

The Eagles returned to winning ways as they came from behind to beat West Ham 4-3 at Selhurst Park.

They reached 40 points in doing so, which all but secures their place in the Premier League for next season.

Tottenham were involved in a game at Anfield which pipped Palace’s win for the most entertaining game of the Premier League weekend.

Having fallen 3-0 behind in the 15th minute, the travelling fans were seconds away from being reimbursed for their tickets again, before they launched a thrilling comeback which was complete when Richarlison netted his first goal of the season.

But the Brazilian had barely put his shirt back on when Diogo Jota pounced to win the game a minute later.

Last time out in early January, Palace were comfortably defeated by four second-half goals from Matt Doherty, Son Heung-Min, and a brace from Harry Kane.

This time, Palace, who are brimming with attacking flair and playing with the confidence of a team with little consequence, match up well to Tottenham’s defensive woes, which might inspire a different result.

Predicted line-up (4-3-3):

Goalkeeper: Sam Johnstone

Defenders: Joel Ward, Joachim Andersen, Marc Guehi, Tyrick Mitchell

Midfielders: Eberechi Eze, Cheick Doucoure, Jeffrey Schlupp

Forwards: Michael Olise, Jordan Ayew, Wilfried Zaha
