Arsenal legend Tony Adams has showered four of Arsenal’s young stars with praise after Sunday’s dominant north London derby triumph over Tottenham Hotspur. After blowing Tottenham away with a stunning start, the Gunners were 3-1 victors before a jubilant crowd at the Emirates Stadium.
Emile Smith Rowe opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doubled Arsenal’s lead at the half-hour mark.
Bukayo Saka added a third on 34 minutes to complete the first-half rout before Son Heung-min netted a late consolation goal for the visitors.
After full-time, Adams heaped praise on Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, Smith Rowe and Saka after phenomenal displays.
He told Sky Sports: “It was a wonderful, wonderful first-half display; the kids were phenomenal.
