Mum, 27, killed two daughters before taking her own life fearing they lived in a ‘corrupt world’
A Bolton mum killed herself and her two daughters with a drug overdose fearing they lived in a “corrupt world”, an inquest heard.
Tiffany Stevens was found dead alongside one-year-old Darcey Stevens and three-year-old Casey-Lea Taylor at their home in Little Lever in 2019.
All three were discovered surrounded by discarded syringes and empty pill packets.
Alarm bells started to ring when no one was able to contact Tiffany for a week.
Her concerned brother and former partner visited her terraced home on Arthur Street on January 21.
When they knocked and got no reply, they decided to break in through the back door.
What they discovered inside was a disturbing scene.
Tiffany was lying on a mattress on her living room floor. Beside her, underneath a duvet, was the body of little Casey-Lea.

Controlling boyfriend slapped with ‘booze ban tag’ after terrifying attack on ex-girlfriend – he can’t drink alcohol for three months
A jealous brute has been banned from drinking alcohol for 90 days after attacking his ex-girlfriend in a booze-fuelled rage.
Daniel Watson, 33, bit his ex-partner’s fingers until they bled during a row at her home, Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court heard.
He then pushed the victim, who suffers from brittle bone disease, to the floor – causing bruising to her arm.
Watson was slapped with a high-tech ankle tag that detects whether he’s been drinking alcohol by monitoring his sweat.
The court heard Watson had been drinking when he took her phone and questioned her over messages from an ex-partner.
As the woman tried to take her phone back from him, Watson launched the terrifying attack, prosecutor, Alison Heyworth told the court.
“The pair had been in a relationship for two years by November 2020,” she said.
“It had become argumentative and became controlling and he (Watson) would use cocaine.
“There had been call outs to the police on two previous occasions but she didn’t support the prosecution of the defendant.”

‘It’s devastating’ – Manchester pizza institution Croma shuts its flagship restaurant after 22 years in city centre
Manchester pizza institution Croma has been forced to shut its city centre flagship restaurant in the wake of the pandemic.
The closure will make 28 staff-members redundant.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, co-founder Andrew Bullock said: “We had hoped to see our way through. It’s devastating.
“But as an independent, we simply don’t have the clout with landlords, or the balance sheet that large companies have.”
The chain only celebrated its 21st anniversary last November with a party at the venue that has now sadly been shuttered.
It was the first of the chain’s four restaurants to open, back in 2000, on Clarence Street tucked behind Albert Square.
Bullock said that the low footfall in the city centre over Christmas, including the Christmas Markets being absent from the square this year plus increasing numbers of office staff now working from home due to the pandemic all contributed to the site becoming financially inviable.
“We looked ahead of us, and we just couldn’t do it,” he went on.
“We just couldn’t cover the costs, and we couldn’t see a financial future. You don’t need to be an accountant to see that there weren’t the number of people coming in on a Friday evening or a Tuesday lunchtime.”
