With so many different streaming platforms and cable offerings to navigate, choosing what to watch has never been harder. To make things easier, here are our best tune-in tips for the week ahead.

MONDAY

Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill

What better way to start the week off then with a laugh? These superstar comedians were personally selected by funnyman Burr to participate in his Netflix special. Keep an eye out for Jimmy Carr, Ronny Chieng, Dave Attell, Michelle Wolf and Jessica Kirson among others.

TUESDAY

That’s My Time With David Letterman

The laughs keep on coming in what appears to be a week full of comedy specials. David Letterman (remember him?) follows Burr’s cue by choosing six up-and-coming comedians to highlight and talk to in his new special. Each episode focuses on one of the stand-up artists. Participating comics include Rosebud Baker, Phil Wang, Sam Morril, Brian Simpson, Robin Tran, and Naomi Ekperigin.

TMZ Presents Johnny vs. Amber: From Love to Hate

In a late announcement, Fox (who else) has a new special that will share more details about the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard defamation case. It promises to make you rethink what you know about the year’s most watched celebrity legal case, and will explore how Depp’s and Heard’s relationship “went from white-hot love to red-hot anger,” highlighting the most gripping moments of the trial and their marriage while chronicling the numerous allegations of violence.

WEDNESDAY

Ms. Marvel

The seventh television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe focuses on Kamala Khan (played by Markham teenager Iman Villani), the first Muslim superhero. For that reason alone, the series will break new ground. Khan idolizes Captain Marvel and possesses superhuman abilities, including the ability to shapeshift. Despite her amazing skills (and in what is an obvious nod to Spider-Man), she struggles with adolescent angst while battling antagonistic villains.

Hustle

Adam Sandler plays a maligned basketball scout who might have finally found the validity he has been searching for when he scoops up a generational player with a rocky past. It’s a new look for Sandler and it will be fun to see him in a new kind of role. Guess he is hustling to show that he is more than just “Billy Madison.”

Netflix

The Janes

This HBO documentary tells the story of an underground network of abortion activists, seven of whom were arrested when police raided a Chicago apartment in 1972. The story is about women helping women, using code names and safe houses to hide their work. It couldn’t come at a more relevant time with the Roe v. Wade ruling back in the news.

Crave, 9 p.m.

THURSDAY

Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration

Not sure if it’s by design, but this is Netflix’s third comedy special of the week, highlighting the largest ever gathering of LGBTQ comics. Hosted by Billy Eichner, it promises big moments, including Ani DiFranco introducing Margaret Cho, Lily Tomlin setting up Sandra Bernhard, and Rosie O’Donnell closing out the night. Apparently all the participating comics will sing a new cover of the Cyndi Lauper classic “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” only their version is titled “Gays Just Want to Have Fun.”

FRIDAY

Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute

The star-studded Comedy Store tribute that was held after Bob Saget’s passing will finally be made available to the public. The special (put together by the actor’s friend Mike Binder) will show other comedians, including Jeff Ross, Jim Carrey, Chris Rock and John Stamos, paying tribute to the “Full House” star.

Fairfax

This animated Amazon original returns for its second season. It follows the adventures of four middle schoolers trying to navigate popular culture while struggling to fit in. Think of it as a new-age “Simpsons” if the story was only about Bart and Lisa. That said, it has a lot of work to do to get to that level. Still worth a watch.

SUNDAY

Amy Schumer’s Parental Advisory

The final comedy debut of the week features Amy Schumer’s curated list of comics, including Lil Rel Howery, Chris Distefano, Christina P., Ron Funches, Rachel Feinstein and Jaye McBride. Guess it’s a great week to be a comedian or a fan of comedy.

DON’T MISS

Obi-Wan Kenobi

This six-part series is set halfway between the two “Star Wars” trilogies. It takes place a decade after “Episode III: Revenge of the Sith,” which was where Ewan McGregor last appeared as the character, and nine years before Alec Guinness played Ben Kenobi in “Episode IV.” The story will primarily explore how Kenobi found his chill. It’s a must for fans of the franchise (although probably on the pass list if you don’t know your “Star Wars” history).
