TMNT: Mutant Mayhem’s First Trailer Looks Like a Ninja Turtles Take on Spiderverse
Welcome to the cowabunga era! Paramount Pictures has released a teaser trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
The trailer sees the beloved half-shell heroes rise up from the sewers and straight onto the streets of New York City as they set out on another adventure that unfolds like a comic book story with a sketchy animation style similar to 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
In addition to the teaser, a new poster also rolled out featuring a skateboard etched with various stamps and stickers. The logo for the movie takes center stage in the design and promotes the theatrical release of TMNT: Mutant Mayhem, scheduled for August 4.
The movie brings Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael back to the big screen for the first time since 2016. In this outing, the Turtle brothers will take on a mysterious crime syndicate, only to face more trouble when “an army of mutants” is unleashed upon them.
The CG animated film features an all-star cast that includes Micah Abbey, Shannon Brown Jr., Nicholas Cantu, and Brady Noon as the titular Turtles, as well as Paul Rudd, Rose Byrne, John Cena, Jackie Chan, Ice Cube, Maya Rudolph, Giancarlo Esposito, and more.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, directed by Jeff Rowe and co-director Kyler Spears, opens in theaters on August 4. The movie is produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver. Ramsay McBean and Josh Fagen serve as executive producers.
