The Tinder Swindler conman Simon Leviev, real name Shimon Hayut, has spoken out in an interview for the first time, protesting his innocence.

Hayut, who was exposed in the Netflix documentary posing as billionaire Simon Leviev, was accused by victims around the world to have stolen thousands of dollars from them, leaving them in mountains of debt.

Hayut seduced women around the world on Tinder under the disguise of a jet-setting diamond mogul, and allegedly conned them out of all their money with the excuse of his enemies being after him.

The documentary focuses on three of his victims, Cecilie Fjellhøy, Ayleen Koeleman, and Pernilla Sjohol, as they expose the conman for who he really is and deliver justice.

Although Hayut disappeared Instagram (but seemingly reappeared under the new handle @just_simon_leviev) and silently signed to a big Hollywood agent, he has now finally broken his silence in an interview with Inside Edition.

The interview is set to be released in two parts, with the first part due on Monday February 21 and the second part released the following day.

In a preview, Hayut says: ‘I was just a single guy that wanted to meet some girls on Tinder.

‘I am not a Tinder Swindler.’

His new model-girlfriend also makes an appearance during the interview, and will supposedly reveal why she has stayed by his side.

This interview will be the start of steps Hayut plans on making in Hollywood, including a dating show, podcast and a book documenting his side of the story.

His agent, Gina Rodriquez, recently revealed to Metro.co.uk that she admires Hayut as ‘the world’s greatest salesman.’

She added: ‘[The Tinder Swindler] left me with a lot of unanswered questions and was very biased.

‘I believe there are two sides to every story and everyone should have the chance to tell their side of the story.’

According to the popular Netflix true crime doc, Hayut allegedly moved from one woman to another, stealing an estimated $10million (£7.3m) over the years, and was wanted around the globe for several crimes including forgery and theft.

In 2019, he was jailed in Israel for travelling on a fake passport, but was released after five months on good behaviour.

Hayut previously spent two years in a Finnish prison for defrauding several women, and was released in 2017.

The Tinder Swindler is available to stream on Netflix now.
