Timmy Trumpet tumbles off stage during NRL grand final
The entertainment on grand final day is scrutinised almost as much as the game itself, and of course Sunday night at Suncorp Stadium was no different.
The NRL wheeled out the Stafford Brothers alongside Timmy Trumpet to kick things off, before Kate Miller-Heidke was joined on stage by Ian Moss to belt out a stirring rendition of the famous Flame Trees.

It all seemed to go off without a hitch… that was until the half-time show.
Timmy Trumpet was back in the middle of the field, although this time performing on a much smaller stage.

The musician, who is effectively a DJ but plays a trumpet during his gigs as well, loves to stand up on the decks table while he plays.
This time, though, the inevitable happened when Timmy Trumpet took a tumble.
The moment was caught on camera by an ABC journalist on the sideline, and Trumpet can be seen falling to the side of the stage.
