Three Italian clubs ‘interested’ in Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard

Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard is reportedly attracting interest from three Italian clubs.

Lingard has found chances at Old Trafford hard to come by this season with the Manchester Evening News previously reporting that the 29-year-old was hoping to force a move away. United claimed that Lingard had changed his mind on that when a move in January failed to materialise.

But since the end of the winter window, Lingard has made just the one start and three substitute appearances in the Premier League. According to the Mirror, AC Milan and Juventus are keen on bringing the England international on board to bolster their attacking options. Jose Mourinho, who is currently managing Roma, is also believed to be keen on the forward.

Meanwhile, should United be looking at Youri Tielemans to strengthen their midfield, they will not be needing to fend off Liverpool. CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed that Jurgen Klopp has no interest in bringing the Leicester City player to Anfield. Jacobs does claim that United and Arsenal are still vying for his signature.

The Manchester Evening News understands that United will be prioritising a defensive midfielder in the summer window. Earlier this week, MEN Sport reported that United are looking to complete a deal for Kalvin Phillips.
