Thor: Love and Thunder Trailer Shows a Tale of Two Thors, a Greek God, and Lots of Guns n’ Roses
After much waiting from fans, Marvel Studios has finally released the first teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder.
The fourth movie of the Thor franchise will be directed by Taika Waititi, who previously directed Thor: Ragnarok. With a teaser trailer featuring Guns N’ Roses’ Sweet Child O’ Mine, it seems like the movie will most likely be the swansong for Thor actor Chris Hemsworth.
The trailer starts off with Thor’s attempts to get back into shape following the events of Avengers: Endgame, as he has now joined the Guardians of the Galaxy squad. Featuring a montage of training shots that can end up in a Rocky movie, it looks like the Son of Odin has found newfound motivation to live his life to the fullest.
The Asgardian soon finds himself in new adventures with the crew, while other members like King Valkyrie has now assumed the role of New Asgard’s ruler.
The trailer even has a couple of shots of Zeus, who will be played by Australian actor Russell Crowe. While we didn’t see the actor’s face, we did get to see him clutch a golden lightning bolt.

The trailer eventually ends with the money shot of Natalie Portman as Lady Thor, as she returns to the Marvel franchise after playing the role of Jane Foster in the first two Thor movies. In the trailer, Thor catches a glimpse of Foster holding the reforged Mjolnir, after it was broken by Hela in Ragnarok.

The teaser trailer didn’t feature any shots of Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher, and it seems like Marvel wants to keep the character secret for now. However, it’s very likely that things will change when the studio drops the movie’s first trailer later on. But, as of right now, it seems like the movie will focus on giving Chris Hemsworth the farewell he deserves, after playing one of the original six Avengers for more than a decade
