This YouTuber Becomes First Threads User To Hit 1 Million Followers

American YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, more popularly known as MrBeast has become the first person to hit a million followers on Threads, a newly launched social media platform by Meta.
The app, billed as a new rival to Twitter has already gained a user base of over 30 million, in just over 24 hours since its launch. Among these users, one million have chosen to follow MrBeast.
The 25-year-old Youtuber accomplished this feat shortly after joining the app at around 9:42 am EST on July 6 (7:12 pm IST). His new feat has earned him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

“I feel like I’m cheating on Twitter by using this app,” Mr Beast joked on Threads after reaching the milestone.
“Shhhhh, don’t let the Twitter police know I’m cheating on them”, he added.
The Youtuber identifies himself as “Future Threads CEO” and he also asked his followers in a post whether Zuckerberg should make him its boss.
“Like this if @zuck should make me CEO,” he wrote.
Threads is a new app, built by the Instagram team, for sharing text updates and joining public conversations.
James Stephen Donaldson is an American YouTuber and philanthropist. He is credited with pioneering a genre of YouTube videos that centers on expensive stunts and challenges.
With over 164 million subscribers as of July 2023, he is the most-subscribed individual user on the platform and the second-most-subscribed channel overall.
