This tool allows you to easily bypass Windows 11’s strict system requirements – Times of India

Windows 11 has been criticised for its strict system hardware requirements. The hardware requirements of the operating system rendered lots of older Windows-based machines unsupported and left the users stuck with Windows 10.
For those who don’t know, Windows 11 requires a minimum of 8th-generation Intel Core processors, 4GB RAM and 64GB RAM to run. In addition to that, the system should also support TPM 2.0 UEFI and Secure Boot.
While all the other requirements are easier to find on a modern system, the processor and TPM requirements become a major concern for most users.
Later, Microsoft itself released an official way to bypass the Windows 11 system requirements, especially the TPM 2.0 requirement to allow users to install the operating system if they want.
However, the process requires users to edit the Windows registry and then update their system to Windows 11.
Now, a well-known tool for creating bootable drives, Rufus has added a new feature that can bypass the TPM 2.0 requirement.
With Rufus version 3.18, users will find a new option — Extended Windows 11 Installation (no TPM / no Secure Boot). This will allow users to create a bootable Windows drive without TPM and Secure Boot requirements.
Meanwhile, if you don’t want to use any third-party tool, you can always use the official method and edit the registry manually.

  • Press Win+r and type regedit.
  • Now, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup
  • Right-click on the left side and create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value
  • Use the name AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU
  • Switch value to 1
