This Morning: Viewers slam ITV one million pound winner for not being excited

This Morning viewers slammed the contestant winning one million pounds as they didn’t seem excited.

ITV daytime shows have been promoting the lifechanging competition that gives a winner the option of receiving £10,000 a month for 10 years or £1million. Shown first on Good Morning Britain, the clip showcased Andi Peters calling the winner and saying: “Did you enter one of our competitions?” To which the lady from Essex, who wanted to be anonymous, replied: “I did. I think it was the million pound one but I’m sure you can’t be calling me about that.”

Realising that she had indeed won the ITV daytime competition, the lady said: “Really? I can’t believe it.” She then added: “My heart is like beating crazily.”

But it’s fair to say fans weren’t satisfied with the reaction.

With laughing emojis, one wrote: “Sounds like they gave a million pound to a millionaire, she didn’t even seem that bothered #This Morning.”

A second said: “What a disappointing reaction. You’ve just won a million pound not found 20p down the sofa #ThisMorning.

“Told you have won a million pound.. reply…Really…. Me… told you have won a million pound…reply…****ing hell.. You’re joking…Arghhhhhhhh!!! #This Morning.” a third commented.

Another said: “Never heard someone so disappointed to win a million pounds #gmb #thismorning.”
