This is officially the friendliest city in Europe
When it comes to choosing a holiday destination, a few things might be top of the list – depending on your priorities.
You might want somewhere sunny, or with excellent food options, or perhaps a city with lots to do?
But a place that makes you feel welcome is always nice. So if you’re on the hunt for exactly this, a certain destination could be of interest.
The friendliest city in Europe has been revealed – and it’s in Switzerland.
Luggage storage company Bounce has ranked cities in Europe by looking at numerous factors, such as levels of crime and happiness to LGBTQ+ attitudes.
The results are in… and Zurich has scooped the top spot.
With a AAA rating for LGBTQ+ acceptance as well as scoring high on happiness and low on crime, the Swiss city has been crowned as Europe’s friendliest destination.
Following close behind in second place is Copenhagen with its high levels of happiness, followed by Munich due to the city’s low crime levels.
Top ten friendliest cities in Europe right now, according to Bounce:
- Zurich, Switzerland
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Munich, Germany
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Vienna, Austria
- Stockholm, Sweden
- Berlin, Germany
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Edinburgh, UK
- Dublin, Ireland
Elsewhere in the top ten you’ll find Amsterdam and Vienna – as well as two destinations closer to home: Edinburgh and Dublin.
It comes just months after San Sebastian was crowned as the friendliest place in the word.
