This Hollywood actor asked ChatGPT to write an ad for Mint Mobile: Here’s what the AI did – Times of India

ChatGPT, an AI chatbot that uses deep learning and machine learning to produce text that resembles that of a human, is making waves globally. People working in different jobs and celebrities alike are now using the platform to test its efficiency. In one such development, actor Ryan Reynolds asked the chatbot to write an ad script for Mint Mobile, a US-based mobile virtual network operator that he owns. And, well, he got what he asked for.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Reynolds said that he asked OpenAI‘s chatbot to write a commercial for Mint Mobile in the voice of Ryan Reynolds. “Use a ‘joke’, a ‘curse word’, and let people know that Mint’s holiday promo is ‘still going’ even after the ‘Big Wireless’ companies have ended theirs,” the Hollywood actor says.

ChatGPT writes a Mint Mobile advertisement
Hey,
It’s Ryan Reynolds here. First of all, let me just say Mint Mobile is the sh*t (fulfils “curse word” demand), but here’s the thing: All Big Wireless companies out there are ending their holiday promos but not Mint Mobile (fulfils “Big Wireless” word demand). We’re keeping the party going cause we’re just that damn good (fulfils “still going” demand). Give Mint Mobile a try. And hey, as an added bonus, if you sign up now, you’ll get to hear my voice every time you call customer care. Just kidding (fulfils “joke” demand). That’s, that’s not a real a thing. Stay classy everyone.”

Reynolds says that the ad written by ChatGPT is “mildly terrifying but compelling.”
While there is no surety whether this ad is actually written by ChatGPT, there is less doubt the AI chatbot can pull this off. Last month, a report by Checkpoint Research showed that ChatGPT can help cyber criminals in their social engineering attack vectors by writing malicious code.
The researchers also asked ChatGPT to write a phishing email that has a malicious link in it. The popularity can be assessed by the fact there are several imposter apps masquerading on both App Stores and Google Play store.
