This electric carbon fibre Bugatti costs £70k – but there’s a £4million catch

BUGATTI makes some of the world’s fastest cars and they don’t come cheap, often costing millions of pounds.

So you might be excited to hear one powered by electricity and made from carbon fibre has just gone on sale for £69,000 before taxes.

The catch is it’s quite small. The other catch is you need to already own Bugatti’s W16 Mistral hypercar.

A Mistral costs around £4million, but that hasn’t put anybody off because all 99 of those have already sold.

To explain, this newly-launched Bugatti Baby II Carbon Edition is made by British company The Little Car Company.

The firm makes 75% scale models of iconic classic cars such as the Ferrari Testarossa, Aston Martin DB5 and this, the Bugatti Type 35.

But these aren’t toys – they’re electric but adults can drive them and they do up to 50mph in the right spec.

There’s also made from the same materials as the real thing and signed off by the carmakers themselves.

The Little Car Company says the Carbon Edition is ‘developed in partnership with Bugatti and hand built to each customer’s specifications.

‘The Carbon Edition follows the exterior and interior detailing of the W16 Mistral, making it the ideal addition to Bugatti’s ultimate roadster.

‘Every customer has the option to tailor their new Bugatti Baby II to their very own W16 Mistral specifications, making it a truly unique model.’

Unsurprisingly, however you spec yours, there’s a lot of carbon fibre on show.

The radiator and grille, dashboard panel, interior panels and mirror mount are all made of it, while the bespoke black wood steering wheel is finished with a carbon centre.

Ben Hedley, CEO of The Little Car Company, commented: “The Bugatti Baby II Carbon Edition will be the ultimate collector’s item for those lucky W16 Mistral owners.

“We are honoured that Bugatti wanted to collaborate on this beautiful edition.”
