A camping holiday is one of the most affordable ways to travel and there are plenty of exciting spots to discover in the UK.
Britons looking for a camping staycation could explore the Lake District, hike in the Peak District or head to the beach in Cornwall.
However, while all three of those destinations are popular for a reason, they’re often more expensive than a few lesser-known hotspots.
A new study from the camping experts at GO Outdoors has found the most affordable destinations for camping in the UK.
This year’s cheapest hotspot came in at under £85 for a three night stay and there’s plenty to do.

The cheapest destination for a camping holiday in the UK is Lincolnshire with a three night break coming in at £82.87 on average.
Lincoln Cathedral tops the list of the county’s attractions on Tripadvisor with one visitor describing it as “absolutely beautiful”.
Children will love the top-rated Natureland Seal Sanctuary in Skegness which looks after injured seals.
Northumberland was the UK’s second cheapest camping destination with three nights costing just £85.83.
While the region doesn’t always have the sunniest weather, it does have some of England’s best beaches.
Bamburgh was recently crowned the UK’s best seaside resort and tourists can also check out Alnwick Castle.
