A BEACH in the UK is surprising visitors, who say they cannot believe that it isn’t abroad.
Staycations are proving more popular than ever at the moment, with the cost of travelling abroad skyrocketing in recent months.

However, there are places in the United Kingdom that can make you feel as if you’re abroad – particularly some of the beaches.
One such place is Pedn Vounder bay, home to golden sands and clear blue seas that some say are more reminiscent of those in Italy, or elsewhere.
The beach can be found in Penzance in Cornwall, home to a number of beautiful bays.
It is set among the cliffs of Treryn Dinas and is described as “something of a poster child for Cornwall’s most stunning beaches”.
Tiktoker Jack Jeffs (@jack.jeffs) showed off Pedn Vounder’s beauty in a video he filmed last summer, in which he said it was a beach “that you wouldn’t believe is in the UK.”
He showed off the views of the turquoise waters from the top of the cliffs, as well as the white sands.
He continued: “This cove literally looks like it belongs on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, with crystal clear blue water and a stunning cliff view.
“It’s really not a place you’d expect to be in England.”
The video has been seen more than 2.5million times, with others similarly shocked to see the beach was in the UK.
One wrote: “No way it’s in the UK!”
Another said: “Cornwall has the best coves they’re literally unmatched.”
Other visitors to the beach have pointed out that it is popular with nudists but still very much worth spending a day there.

On website Cornwall Beaches, one wrote: “Whether you are into baring it all or being more modest when you sunbathe, this is one you must visit. My only advice is: “Respect those who bare it all, it’s been going on forever.”
Pedn Vounder is also just a stone’s throw away from Nanjizal Beach, which is a small cove that remains relatively quiet, even during the summer months.
It’s home to an abundance of caves and rock formations for people who want to explore and swim in and out of them.
There are also freshwater waterfalls among the rocks, adding to the photo opportunities on the beach.
Nanjizal is also a great spot for seal watching, with pups often seen bobbing around in the clear waters off the shore.
However, they’re not the only wild animals that visitors can find – with wild ponies also frequently spotted on the grasslands at the back of the bay.
The region is also home to “Britain’s loveliest village” according to poet Dylan Thomas, with the exceptionally quaint Mousehole a great place to visit.
The tiny fishing village is home to a small harbour mouth and is a great place to explore, or to go crabbing.
