The Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Buds A-Series could get a ‘Sky Blue’ version

TL;DR

  • A leak has revealed a “sky blue” version of the Pixel Buds A-Series.
  • Google could also be working on a similar color for the Pixel Buds Pro.
  • This may be a move to match with the upcoming “Arctic Blue” Pixel 7a.

As we inch closer to the arrival of the Pixel 7a, Google appears to be preparing for the launch by readying a new colorway for the Pixel Buds A-Series. And it seems the Pixel Buds Pro may join in on the fun as well.

Kuba Wojciechowski, a well-known and reliable leaker, shared on Twitter that Google is working on a “Sky Blue” version of the Pixel Buds A-Series. Along with the tweet, the tipster included three images of the device in question.

If this is true, the Sky Blue variant will join the existing colorways which include Charcoal, Clearly White, and Dark Olive. According to Wojciechowski, Google is likely adding this new color to match the Pixel 7a’s “Arctic Blue” color option — the first blue phone Google has offered since the Pixel 4a.

Something even more surprising is Google may also add a new colorway for the Pixel Buds Pro. According to Wojciechowski, Google is working on giving the Buds Pro a similar shade of blue. As of right now, the existing colors for the ky Buds Pro are Charcoal, Coral, Fog, and Lemongrass.

If Google does add Sky Blue to the Pixel Buds Pro lineup, it may have some difficulty standing out from the Fog colorway, which is a very pale blue color. It will be interesting to see how much the two colors differ.
