The Little Mermaid teaser unveils first look to Melissa McCarthy’s Ursula

The new teaser to Disney’s live-action film The Little Mermaid is here. Disney studios released the new look as a part of their celebration of Disney100.

The new teaser titled Wish, features actress Halle Bailey singing Part of Your World as viewers get a peek at the breathtaking underwater world that will figure prominently in the feature film. It also shows some sneak peeks at settings viewers haven’t seen yet.

It shows a glimpse of what looks like the other mermaids’ homes and Ariel interacting with vibrant sea life. There is also a quick glimpse of Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric and a menacing laugh from Ursula (Melissa McCarthy).

The Little Mermaid is helmed by Oscar-nominee filmmaker Rob Marshall and written by two-time Oscar nominee David Magee, with a live-action story adaptation by David Magee, Rob Marshall, and two-time Emmy winner John DeLuca, based on the short story by Hans Christian Andersen, and the Disney animated film by Ron Clements and John Musker.

It stars singer and actress Halle Bailey, Melissa McCarthy, Jonah Hauer-King, Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay, Awkwafina, Art Malik, Noma Dumezweni and Javier Bardem.

The film is set to be released worldwide on May 26.
