The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom First-Person Mod Released

A modder has released The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom First-Person mod for those emulating the Switch title on PC.

Since the release of the Breath of the Wild sequel last week, we’ve seen plenty of modifications for the game, including mods that increase durability, make equipment unbreakable, enhance its visuals, and more. As a matter of fact, some modders were already able to release mods for the game before it officially came out.

As you will probably know, the most recent Zelda installments use the third-person perspective, but what if we told you that a crafty modder has now released a mod that allows you to see the game through Link’s eyes? Created by modder ‘trevix’, this “Immersive Camera” mod, removes the UI elements from Purah’s camera pad, allowing players to explore Hyrule from a first-person perspective. According to the modder, the mod automatically switches back to the regular third-person perspective during combat, jumping, and swimming.

It’s an exciting modification, and we’re sure that some emulating this gem on PC would like to give it a spin. Down below you’ll find a short video of this mod in action:

As covered earlier today, the game received its first post-launch update, including fixes for various issues. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available worldwide now for the Nintendo Switch.  The game was released last Friday and managed to sell over 10 million copies in only three days – impressive numbers for sure, and as shared by Nintendo, the BOTW sequel has already become the fastest-selling Zelda entry ever and the fastest-selling Switch game to date.

As can be read in our launch review, we gave Tears of the Kingdom a solid 9, praising its story, bosses, dungeons, new abilities, and more.
