Compared to Dell or Lenovo, HP usually has the best price on comparable configs. HP is offering some great deals on this particular HP OMEN gaming PC when you spec it with your choice of RTX 40 series GPU. Note that this gaming PC is enclosed in HP’s flagship OMEN 45L chassis and even includes a 360mm all-in-one liquid cooling solution. The rest of the components, like the CPU, RAM, and storage can also be upgraded to your liking.
If you’ve been considering an RTX 3080 gaming PC build, then consider the RTX 4070 instead; it’s a better GPU for a cheaper price. The GeForce RTX 4070 matches the performance of the older RTX 3080 with additional features. That means the RTX 4070 can still easily hold its own in any game at 1080p and 1440p. You’d be hard pressed to find another RTX 4060 gaming laptop for under $1200. This laptop features a 13th gen Intel Core i7 Raptor Lake CPU and the latest GeForce RTX 4060 GPU. Performance-wise, the RTX 4060 mobile GPU sits right in between the RTX 3070 and RTX 3070 Ti. It offers plenty of power to run pretty much any game comfortably on the native 1080p display. RTX 40 series cards also support DLSS 3.0, which is essentially DLSS 2.0 plus frame generation. For games that support it this is a big FPS increase over DLSS 2.0

Let’s just say the RTX 4090 makes hardcore gaming on a laptop possible. The RTX 4090 is the most powerful mobile GPU ever, and by a huge margin. The HP OMEN 17 supplies up to 175W to the GPU. That means this is probably the fully enabled RTX 4090 GPU with a 150W TGP, not the gimped 80W version. It’s roughly equivalent to a desktop RTX 3090 GPU.
