You can’t get any closer to the action without racing boots and a helmet.

The hotel sits 15 miles west of Milton Keynes and there’s free parking on site, if you choose to drive.

The hotel is an absolute paradise for Formula 1 fans – get ready for uninterrupted sight lines as racers scream around Club Corner.

There are bespoke hospitality packages on big F1 and MotoGP weekends, but it’s open all year round and there are races of all kinds nearly every weekend.

The design of the hotel itself isn’t anything spectacular, but it’s being so close to that hallowed tarmac that gives this place a real buzz.

Of the 197 rooms, 75 overlook the starting straight and glass-fronted balconies offer perfect views of the action – right into the pit lane.

We enjoyed two adjoining rooms, perfect for the kids, who loved the extra space.

And the Hilton goodies were on tap – monsoon shower, huge TV and cookies.
