The Flash Rumored to Be Removing Henry Cavill’s Superman From the New DC Timeline
DC’s The Flash is shaping up to be one of the most important movies of the DCEU when it releases next year.
Following a decade of superhero movies in the DCEU, which was headed by Zack Snyder’s Justice League, it seems like Warner Bros. will have a new approach with their DC movies, as they look to change the timeline.
The movie will feature a lot of time-travelling and multiversal elements as Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen will most likely try to save his mom, which would lead to changes around the universe.
The Flash will include new additions in Sasha Calle, who will be playing Supergirl. Along with that, Michael Keaton will also be reprising his role as the Batman for the first time in almost 30 years.
But, other than that, it seems like the movie will also remove some key elements and characters from the past decade. This includes Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel.

According to popular leaker MyTimeToShineHello, the movie will end with a post-credits scene which features Aquaman and the Flash, where it will be clearly mentioned that the new timeline doesn’t include Henry Cavill’s Superman.
Cavill’s Last Son of Krypton started the DCEU back in 2013 with Man of Steel, and since then, the character has featured in multiple movies including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League and Zack Snyder’s Justice League as well.
However, for the past few years, it seems like Warner Bros. has been looking to pivot away from Cavill’s iteration, even though he has clearly shown that he is interested to wear the cape again. With no Superman in the DCEU, it’s very likely that Sasha Calle’s Supergirl will fill the role of the Kryptonian in the new Justice League.
Fans might want to take the rumor with a grain of salt. However, if it is true then, this could be the end of the line for another Superman iteration, which was universally loved by fans.
