A dog pretending to be Zorro and a cat sticking his tongue out at the camera—these are just two of the finalists from this year’s Comedy Pet Photography Awards.

The awards, created by professional photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, are all about showcasing the positive effect pets have on our lives.

With entries from all over the world, the final sees 25 of the funniest photographs narrowed down even further.

The winners are chosen by a panel of judges including TV presenter, writer, conservationist and animal lover Kate Humble; comedian and TV presenter, writer Mel Giedroyc; TV Vet and animal welfare campaigner Emma Milne; and professional pet photographer Elke Vogelsang.

Among this year’s finalists there’s Edgar the Mediterranean spur thighed tortoise, From Norfolk, munching on a dandelion and Big Boss, the grumpy fat cat from Fukuoka, Japan.
