Enchanted Wood Preschool was most recently inspected on May 3 and rated outstanding in every area: leadership and management, quality of education, behaviour and attitude and personal development.
The opening line of the report reads: “Children are inspired and highly motivated to learn as they fully immerse themselves in the wonderful experiences staff provide at this exceptional preschool.”
Inspectors only go on to further praise this nursery and its staff, where children are challenged and staff have high expectations for what they are capable of accomplishing.
They found that children are welcomed to the nursery with “the most nurturing and loving approach” and that every child is made to feel secure while away from their parents.
Children’s behaviour is described by Ofsted as “impeccable” as they have “excellent manners” and are “extremely considerate of others”.

Inspectors described the management team as “inspirational”, prioritising staff wellbeing and development.
The special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) coordinator and her team at this preschool go “above and beyond” to support children, according to Ofsted.
Ofsted reported that staff at Enchanted Wood Preschool place a lot of focus on children’s communication, language, personal, social and emotional development.
They added that staff give children every chance to learn about their local community and the wider world, for example taking them on trips and outings.
Inspectors found the relationship between staff and parents to be “outstanding”.
They found that staff establish close relationships with every family and make sure that they give parents “personalised and detailed information about their child’s development”.
As a result, parents say that they feel valued and cared for.

“Our Standard Road team have worked meticulously to ensure these high standards every day, and we come together as a whole Enchanted Wood Preschool team to ensure we make improvements and drive the vision and ethos of the preschool forward every year. “

“We see ourselves as an extension of your home, a place for children to feel safe, love and reach their best potential developmentally.
