The Callisto Protocol Final Transmission DLC Released With New Features, Enemies and More

Striking Distance Studios released The Callisto Protocol DLC for the PS4 and PS5 players yesterday, June 27. The Callisto Protocol Final Transmission DLC has now been released for all platforms. The first and only story DLC concludes the story of the game as the final chapter takes players beyond the walls of Black Iron Prison. The DLC revolves around the Biophage virus spreading outside the prison as the player has to pull off the ultimate escape from Callisto while retrieving Mahler’s data.

PlayStation players got early access to the DLC, thanks to the collaboration between Sony and Striking Distance Studios. A launch trailer has also been released, giving players an idea of what to expect from this DLC. The Callisto Protocol Final Transmission DLC starts from where the game ended. Jacob Lee, the protagonist, is off to retrieve data for Mahler which can save them from the horrors of Callisto.

There will be new enemies to take on, including Security Robots infected by the Biophage virus. A new boss with unique abilities, and the skill to alternate between melee and ranged attacks has also been added. A new weapon called Kinetic Hammer has also been added which is supposed to be more powerful than the Stun Baton. It has greater area-of-effect damage when the heavy melee attack is delivered after charging it.

The Callisto Protocol and its Final Transmission DLC are available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
