The Boys Teases Homelander’s Murder Trial in Season 4 With In-Universe Video
Things are about to get more diabolical in the fourth season of Amazon Prime Video’s dark superhero series, The Boys.
The cracking end to Season 3 saw Soldier Boy being revealed as Homelander’s father. Along with that, the finale also saw the death of Black Noir and Billy Butcher receiving the diagnosis of being terminally ill due to his usage of Temp V.
At the moment, not much is known about how the show will progress, when it comes to the plot with the upcoming season. However, a new Vought International video teases of one of the plot points that fans can expect to see in Season 4.
The in-universe video posted on Vought’s social media features Colby Minifie playing the role of CEO Ashley Barrett. In the video, Barrett and Vought express their support for Homelander as he stands trial for the murder of a Starlight supporter.
In Season 3, Homelander had incinerated the Starlight supporter with his laser vision, after the latter threw an object at his son during a rally. The incident took place in broad daylight. However, the Vought CEO stated that Homelander’s heroic actions to protect his son were “being branded a murder.”
Barrett further noted that Homelander will continue to be backed by Vought, and he won’t be removed from his position as the captain of The Seven.
It will be interesting to see how the show will showcase the legal repercussions that Vought and Homelander will have to face in Season 4.
