The best water parks in the UK to cool down during the heatwave

ANOTHER heatwave is set to hit the UK this week with temperatures as high as 37C.

WE’VE rounded up some of the best water parks – both indoor and outdoor – to cool down when it gets hot.

Splashdown Quaywest, Devon

The largest outdoor water park in the UK is Splashdown Quaywest in Devon, although there is a second Splashdown in Dorset.

It has eight water slides, ranging from ones suitable for under-5s to ‘severe’ scariness like the Devil’s Drop, the highest and fastest flume in the country.

Tickets start from £14.50 for two hour sessions.

Not to be confused with the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, the Welsh water park is part of the Bluestone National Park Resort.

It has everything you could want – wave pools, four water flumes and a huge indoor swimming pool.

When the weather is good, there are also outdoor spa pools and loungers.

There are some exciting water parks opening in the UK soon as well.

A huge £250m indoor water park and spa Therme is coming to Manchester by 2025.

And a £200m water park has been approved to open in Oxfordshire, called Great Wolf Lodge – and will be the first of its kind outside of the US and Canada.
