After an expensive summer, it is tempting to use the pre-Christmas lull for relaxing and saving some pennies. Add to that the rising cost of living crisis, we can hardly blame you.

But eating out doesn’t have to always be £20 or more a head. These autumnal deals make it as cheap as chips to enjoy a fantastic meal without feeling guilty after.

So from pizza to noodles, and burgers to Michelin stars, here are the best foody deals across the UK this week.

Get 50 per cent off food all day on Thursdays at any UK branch of Revolution until November 24. The offer applies to mains, burgers, dogs, pizzas and desserts only. And until November 25, guests can enjoy a free drink via the Revolution app when they visit on a Friday.

Wildly successful Japanese chain Marugame came to the UK last year and now has six branches in London, with more to follow. Its springy udon noodles start at £3.45 for a tasty, warming bowl, with most dishes on the menu leaving you change from a tenner. Try curry rice (from £6.25), pork tonkatsu (from £8.85) or chicken teriyaki (from £9.75).

Tom Kerridge’s Coach Restaurant

If you thought you couldn’t afford meals from a Michelin-starred chef, think again. The renowned Tom Kerridge has launched a £15 two-course set lunch menu at his Coach restaurant in Marlow, available throughout November.

Expect hearty faves such as duck leg, toulouse sausage and smoked bacon cassoulet or chicken ‘chasseur’ jambonette, with the likes of lemon posset with fennel biscuit for pud.

UK chain Bistrot Pierre has launched a fixed-price menu featuring a three-course meal and drink, available from noon daily. The Menu Pierre includes a selection of traditional French classics, from boeuf bourguignon and steak frites to creme brulee; £22.95 (two courses for £19.95).

Nationwide burger brand Fat Hippo is offering a great deal on weekday lunchtimes – a burger and fries for £8, instead of the usual £12.90 and upwards. Choices include the American, with mustard and the all-vegan Five Lies. Its most recent opening is in London’s Shoreditch.
