The ‘best beach’ less than two hours from London has ‘outstanding natural beauty
Travel creator @thecuriouspixie took to TikTok to share some of the UK’s ultimate beaches to visit.
In a video entitled “Best beaches in less than two hours from London”, she told viewers some hidden gems, ideal for their summer staycation.
The staycation became popular during the pandemic when international travel became impossible, but it has remained loved by Brits due to its convenience and often cheapness.
@thecuriouspixie named seven fabulous beaches for Brtitons to explore, claiming that one has “outstanding natural beauty”.
The influencer’s first pick was Ruislip Lido Beach in the Ruislip/Northwood Hills area, accessible on the Piccadilly Line plus a 20-minute walk.
Next was Whitstable, a Kentish seaside town “famed for its seafood” for those looking for a delightful culinary experience.
Find yourself at the beautiful Camber Sands, complete with “five miles of rolling sand dunes on the Sussex coast”.
Mersea Island was another top pick, although @thecuriouspixie warned beachgoers “don’t get stuck at high tide”.
The creator couldn’t miss Brighton, the “classic” seaside day out, popular with children and adults, singles and couples.
She also recommended a visit to West Wittering, which she claimed was set in an area of “outstanding natural beauty”.
Indeed, the official website for West Wittering Beach reads: “Offering wonderful views of Chichester Harbour and the South Downs beyond, the natural and unspoilt sandy beach of West Wittering has been a favourite destination for a family day out for generations.
“The highest water quality and excellent facilities have made it one of the premier Blue Flag beaches in the country.”
According to the travel influencer, Kentish town Broadstairs is another “charming” sandy beach destination.
