The Benefits Of Two Sides Membership – Two Sides

Two Sides members have an exclusive range of resources ready to use and personalise.

One of the most valuable aspects of being a Two Sides member is our range of resources. Using the latest facts, information and research from around the world, these resources help our industry tell consumers the true environmental impact of paper and paper packaging to dispel the many misconceptions about the industry.

Whether it’s our Myths & Facts booklet, large collection of fact sheets and articles, or shareable videos and factographics, our members have a vast range of information at their fingertips, ready to communicate to colleagues, partners and customers.

And remember, Two Sides members can have any of these resources personalised for their business using our new online personalisation tool. This will demonstrate your commitment to paper and clear understanding of its sustainability.

Myths and Facts Booklet

One of the most popular Two Sides resources is the Myths and Facts booklet, which uses the latest research to dispel the many misconceptions about paper and its effect on the environment. Whether it’s the fact that European forests grew by an area bigger than Switzerland between 2005 and 2020, or a total of 53 million tonnes of paper was collected and recycled in Europe in 2022, representing a recycling rate of 71%, the booklet is packed with information for businesses and consumers.

“The Myths & Facts booklet explains to brands, retailers and consumers, nine powerful reasons that show just how sustainable paper products really are,” explains Jonathan Tame, Managing Director of Two Sides. “Two Sides members are encouraged to use our resources in their marketing communications to spread the reach of paper’s positive sustainable story.”

Paper Packaging Booklet

With the explosion of e-commerce and brands becoming more aware of their environmental responsibilities, the use of paper and cardboard packaging has grown exponentially. Made from natural and renewable raw materials, its strength, versatility and ability to be recycled make it highly sustainable and an essential component of the circular economy.

The Two Sides Paper Packaging booklet explains the multiple benefits of paper and cardboard packaging, with plenty of facts and research to prove its immense value.

The journey to a more sustainable future includes our packaging choices,” says Jonathan Tame. “Our packaging booklet explains to brands, retailers and consumers the eight powerful reasons why paper-based packaging is the natural and sustainable choice.

Information Articles

The latest addition to our portfolio of resources is a group of information articles. These in-depth features go into great detail about topical subjects in the world of paper and the environment, using the latest research and expert thinking to provide an engaging, informative read.

At the moment there are two available to download. The first, ‘The importance of paper-based materials in education’, explores the critical role that paper has in the classroom and its cognitive benefits for student learning, while the second, ‘Single-use vs reusable packaging’, dives into which type has the lowest environmental impact.

Both expand our members’ knowledge of the benefits of paper and paper-based packaging, as well as increase consumer awareness of the paper industry.

Fact Sheets and Campaign Update

To help companies and consumers understand the various issues around print and paper, and its environmental and social value, Two Sides has created a series of Fact Sheets. These easily downloadable documents cover the most common areas of paper and the environment, ranging from renewable energy and carbon footprint to paper production and sustainable forests, as well as tissue paper.

All the latest Two Sides activity is gathered in our quarterly Campaign Update. Detailing everything from the latest greenwashing information to updates on the Love Paper campaign, the downloadable file provides an all-round view of Two Sides and its vital work.

Our fact sheets are highly valued by our members because they provide clear, understandable information that can be easily shared,” explains Josh Birch, Two Sides Campaign Manager. “The whole collection of 12 fact sheets cover the most common areas of misunderstanding and go a long way to educating people about the impact of print and paper.

Factographics

Two Sides also produces a range of simple facts designed to be shared on social media. These include a series of mini videos and factographics – small, easily digestible facts that can be quickly posted on any platform or used as part of a presentation.

In addition to the standard factographics, exclusively available to members of Two Sides, a small collection of factographics have been created using the findings from the 2023 Trend Tracker Survey.

All the Two Sides resources are available to members in a number of languages and can be co-branded with their company logo. If you are a member and would like the Two Sides materials co-branded, please contact [email protected]
